DESCRIPTION:New Location!  Our new location – The Mark – allows for food and drink (the good kind)\, laser tag\, bowling\, etc. and they have great meeting rooms! Come for the LEGO and stay for the fun!\n\nThe August meeting was therapy for those of us who attended Brick Days as we needed to discuss the direction of BD as a group. I apologize if you felt “bored” but this was very much needed for many of us! Brick Days are fun and we encourage all members of LOLUG to get involved to attend and display your creations!\n\nOur agenda:\n\nUpdates on events\nUpdates from the LEGO Ambassador Network.\nIron Builder voting: Use any type of flame element in a creation.\nDraft #11011 Bricks and Animals\n\n\nDRAFT: We will be drafting set # 11011. It is available online at Amazon or Walmart (most likely others but I’m not bothering to look them up).\nIf you want to participate in the draft – please bring an unopened set of # 11011.\n\n\nWhat is a draft?\n\n\nA LEGO® draft is an activity where multiple copies of a single set is divided between participants. Preparation includes dividing the sets into lots. This can be done in various ways\, including by element and color. Generally\, each mini figure is assembled and is its own lot. Then each participant is randomly assigned a rank. Each person takes a turn and chooses a lot in rank order until all lots are taken.

DESCRIPTION:Countdown to Brick Days – Lincoln has begun and LOLUG members are working hard on last minute builds for the event. With that said\, there is still time to become a LOLUG member before the big event by attending the November meeting. This month we will be in Omaha at the Milton R. Abrahams Omaha Public Library at 5111 N 90th St from 6:30 – 8:30 pm on Nov. 20th. \nWe will be going over last minute Brick Days details\, having a Show & Tell with member’s new builds\, and John Tooker will give a presentation about LOLUG having a castle collaboration display.  Castle displays are always a huge request at our events so for all the castle builders – do not miss this presentation! \nWe will also be drafting set #75987 Omnic Bastion. Iron Builder is the monthly building competition that LOLUG members do with the members voting on the winner. This month is a theme build – if you want to participate – bring something that depicts “Great Moments in Science!” Build your favorite scientific discovery\, breakthrough\, or invention—either real or fictional. \nWe also will be drafting LEGO set # 41349 Friends Drifting Diner. If you want to participate bring a sealed copy of that set. \nFinally we will be distributing 2nd half of the year support from LEGO. If you want to see a benefit of being involved with LOLUG – please stop out and become involved with LOLUG and talk about your favorite brick! \nPlay Well!
