DESCRIPTION:This meeting has been cancelled due to winter weather!\nWe will have the gift exchange in February – so hold your presents.  LUG awards will be in January. \nBrick Days Omaha. Tickets will be opening on January 1st. VIB tickets will be for sale on the brick days website.  Volunteer spots will be opening in March. \nLEGO Pit Stop – if you want to display at the Museum of American Speed’s event – please reply on Discourse by December 31st. I will have to get them our space requests so they know how many tables they need. One of the best events that we do. \n\nThe end of the year meeting is usually the best! \nWe will have some quick LOLUG business along with news from the LEGO Ambassador Network. \nWe will announce our LUG Awards for 2022. \nFinally we will have our white elephant gift exchange. If you want to participate please bring a wrapped LEGO related item valued $10-$20. \nThe rules for the exchange are as follows:\nMembers participating will draw numbers to determine the order. \nThe first member selects a gift and opens it. The second member can steal the first gift or open a new wrapped gift. \nA gift can be stolen twice before it is “locked”. The exchange continues until all the gifts are opened.

Come for the LEGO and stay for the fun!\n\nThe August meeting was therapy for those of us who attended Brick Days as we needed to discuss the direction of BD as a group. I apologize if you felt “bored” but this was very much needed for many of us! Brick Days are fun and we encourage all members of LOLUG to get involved to attend and display your creations!\n\nOur agenda:\n\nUpdates on events\nUpdates from the LEGO Ambassador Network.\nIron Builder voting: Use any type of flame element in a creation.\nDraft #11011 Bricks and Animals\n\n\nDRAFT: We will be drafting set # 11011. It is available online at Amazon or Walmart (most likely others but I’m not bothering to look them up).\nIf you want to participate in the draft – please bring an unopened set of # 11011.\n\n\nWhat is a draft?\n\n\nA LEGO® draft is an activity where multiple copies of a single set is divided between participants. Preparation includes dividing the sets into lots. This can be done in various ways\, including by element and color. Generally\, each mini figure is assembled and is its own lot. Then each participant is randomly assigned a rank. Each person takes a turn and chooses a lot in rank order until all lots are taken.
